Last year we decided to splash out on a top of the range bespoke kitchen. We decided to use Broadway Kitchens as they assured us they could create the kitchen of our dreams, unfortunately it’s turned into a nightmare! We were told they would project manage the installation, but found ourselves doing everything at short notice. The finished kitchen has all kinds of problems. The MD’s response was to tell us how rich he is and threaten to rip the kitchen out! Their fitter came today to write a report, but it was obvious that he was not going to help us at all ; I even caught him with his finger under one side of his spirit level when he was ‘proving’ that the bookshelves are level! The list of problems is huge and I’ve had no choice but to go to Trading Standards. The kitchen cost over £50,000 so I’m not letting them get away with substandard work. I’ve been advised to get the work checked by an independent assessor. Does anyone know of someone in the Worcestershire area who could do this? I’m happy to pay for the service.
