Bathroom Tiles.

Re-furbishing bathroom. Can anyone advise on tiles for the walls? Our bathroom faces north, and is quite dark, especially on dull, winter days. Have brought home a few samples, but quite surprised how dark some of the matt white ones appear to be, more like grey.

Are the glossy, shiny ones more prone to water marks and streaks? DH fancied matt ones, but not so sure now.

Glossy ones definitely show streaks and water spots more than matte.

Matt ones here too. I think they are on trend and don't show smears. Mine are stone type colour with a ripple effect and don't make the bathrooms look dark.

These are our gloss white tiles and they’re excellent. All the walls are tiled. We haven’t finished the bathroom yet but I’ve used white gloss tiles before and love them.

These are not flat. They’re called relief bumpy.

Nice, I like large tiles. Make the room look bigger.

MrJ whose a ceramic tiler by trade, said gloss.

My bathroom is minute, we have ‘bumpy’ white glossy tiles and, despite having very hard water, they look very good and are easy to clean.

I chose large, light grey, matt stone effect - but an almost white floor really brightens it up.

I haven't had any problem with high gloss.

They're really nice, Muse. We have some sort of plastic wall thing up (we rent) and I hate it. It's grooved - a bit like tongue and groove - and some numpty put a strip along the bottom which catches all the grime like little pockets!
I'd change it for tiles if I could tile, but I've never done it before. (We have a great landlord who let's us do anything, as long as we don't interfere with supporting walls or electrics, which we definitely wouldn't).

muse you have stolen my tiles but mine have not been laid the same way as yours- Mine are dotted here and there and look lovely. We do have good taste.

? Charleygirl.
I presume the same company? I bought more than I actually used. I originally planned a double row but it looked too much. Hoping to use the left overs to make a table top for outside use. Just need the good weather so we can sit outside to eat from it. ?

My grand-daughter always bangs on about this about this company who tiled her bathroom- she says they do really lovely, fancy tiles for cheap. Take a look- they do look nice!
