Haier Washer Dryer - Too automatic for me!

Thanks all. I had an Ariston washer dryer 40 years ago and it was fine. The only trouble I had with it was if I tried to dry a full load. Unfortunately it died after a few years and I always had separate fairly manual ones since then. I've not used a dryer for a five or six years now and they seem to be completely different! I'll have to keep experimenting.

My Zanussi is a separate washing machine and dryer but the dryer seems to work in a similar way. It depends on what I'm drying it then gets set to bone dry, cupboard dry, ready to iron etc and stops when its ready. I had to experiment at first but now only use two settings which are mix and bone dry. Bone dry is for bedding etc and mix is for trackies etc. no creases just dry items. All I can suggest is experiment and complain if you're not happy.

My Miele washer dryer is not bad, it’s true that you can only do half a load of the washing at a time but if you take the dry clothes out as soon as the drying cycle finishes they are not creased at all. Fold them while still warm and they don’t need ironing. (Except cotton shirts which go to the ironing place. Hate ironing.) The machine also has a quick 7 minute ‘smoothing’ function which is good for the clothes you forgot to remove from the machine as soon as the drying cycle ended.

Had a washer/drier in a holiday let by the sea in December! Did not like it at all. Drying function very hot and creased everything. Would not buy one.

Sorry, I have never heard of these, so have no advice whatsoever.

I had mistakenly assumed the word Haier in the thread title was a typo, and looked on here hoping to find out more about what I took to be some wonderful new appliance that both washes and dries your hair

MsOops had one, she had to remove half of the wet washing and leave the rest in the dryer as it wouldn’t dry a full load, yes it was very creased, but the fewer items in the dryer the less creased the washing was.
It took an age to dry and then she still had the rest of the wet load to do.
