13.5 tog single hollowfibre anti allergy duvet with cotton cover

Shandy I am a cold morsel and my duvet has a tog of 15! I believe there is an easy way of fitting a duvet cover on but I do not have a clue so it takes me forever to change my king-sized duvet cover.

I’ve been looking at this site beddingcomfortstore.co.uk which might provide what you’re looking for.

I bought my last one from Dunelm its two that popper together one is 10tog the other 4.5 so they are snuggly warm in Winter and i unpop them to use them separately as the weather warms up.

I actually bought a hollowfibre one from a Mill Shop on ebay - both a 3 tog and a 10.5 tog one and have been really pleased with both as that are lovely and lightweight and keep me either cool or warm according to what is needed at the time!
Before that I had a wool filled one from Dunelm that was great, but quite heavy that your aunt might prefer as she would have been brought up with sheets and blankets.
Another suggestion is to get a mattress topper - I have one that has a sheepskin type side for the winter and a cotton mix side for the summer that I have found is cosy for the winter .

Shandy open cover like that your Aunt may catch her hands in it. I would have a proper cover . My anti allergy hollow fibre duvet is by Slumberdown all seasons . 2 duvets that popper together. 4.5 tog and 10.5 tog got it from Amazon. Light weight but lovely and warm .

Dusk duvets are brilliant, they have a range called "feels like down" . I bought one and was so impressed I replaced all my others.

Silk duvets are brilliant, warm in the winter, cool in the summer -and exstremely light to handle. BUT very expensive.

Easy way to put on duvet cover - has been described many times - have cover inside out - laid flat on bed over flat duvet. Put in both arms to far corners - then taken two corners of the duvet and just shake the cover over it.

Must say, I use a 4.5 tog during the cold weather - that has now been put away for the next few months and I just have a coverlet on my bed. I also do have a flat sheet between me and duvet.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. I have bought my aunt a hollowfibre 13.5 tog from John Lewis, thank you for the twin 4.5/9.5 duvet with popper suggestions but I don't think her hands work well anymore.

I hope she is in when it arrives and I don't get the 'I had to go ten miles to the post office with my trolley and there was a big queue ....' - it's spoilt most Christmases to be greeted with this moan, I don't send her parcels any more.

I've finally found a duvet cover designed to make it simpler for people to change, it's called 'swift swap'. It has holes to poke the corner of the duvet out, and you can hold onto the duvet and cover while you shake it. The other make which has three poppered sides seems to have gone out of business.
