New Oven

I need a new electric cooker and have been looking round the shops. There's a lot of choices and prices and I'm not fussy as to brand, I need 4 hotplates and preferable two ovens one small and one large. There's a huge choice.
However, all of the mid price range that I've seen have a bottom oven with a side opening door, and I want a door that's hinged on the bottom so you pull it down.
Those on Gt British Bake Off have doors that slide underneath and look amazing - but they're in the £1000 price bracket and out of my reach.
Any recommendations?

Have you looked at Belling? Mine is integrated with two ovens and bottom-hinged soft-close doors. I'm probably tempting fate but I've had it for over 30 years and it's still working perfectly. They do freestanding versions with integrated hob.

My present one that I'm replacing is a Belling and its done sterling service and I've looked at a few. So far I haven't come across one with a drop-down door on the bottom oven.
I'll go through the website again and see if I can find one, thanks for the link.
I have a side opening microwave and find it awkward because it only opens to 90 degrees and I burn myself (getting clumsy!smile )

I have a Neff double oven. It’s about 7 years old. Both doors pull down. I’m very pleased with it.

Maybe a second hand good quality one. People do sell things when it doesn’t fit their new set up. Obviously from a reputable outlet and safely installed

Are you sure you need a new oven? Since I bought my small air fryer at the end of last year I have not used my double oven since Christmas and do not intend to do so again.

I have now added a Tefal Optigrill very recently. My air fryer has paid for itself as I am sure the Optigrill will in time also.

Lol I need to win lotto but that’s not going to happen. Are you a chef because I don’t know any other reason why anyone would need 4 rings. Yes I am one lol. I actually only have my ninja foodi and ninja soup maker and I’ve got hot plate and I cook full Sunday dinners home made yorkies etc soup smoothies and ice cream cakes. I no longer use a oven so not wasting money on electric to heat one up.

I second the idea of questioning do you really need one. My sister bought an air fryer from Argos and two induction plates from IKEA to replace the hob when she downsized and didn’t replace her electric cooker. She also has a microwave. She says they are fast and economical.

My double cooker is in my opinion wasted money because it took 20 minutes to heat up + the cooking time of whatever I had popped in it. My air fryer takes 5 minutes to heat up and half of the oven cooking time.

I have a slow cooker, microwave, small air fryer and now a Tefal Optigrill so my electricity cooking bills will be halved.

I threw my air fryer away. It took just as long to cook things as in the oven and was a pain on the bench. It was too big to go in the cupboard when not using it and in my experience a total waste of time.

I had a Simpson oven (Australia) for 30 years and the door opened down and slid underneath. Seems they are a bit like hen's teeth these days but made oven access so much easier and safer.

I think new ovens these days are sometimes fitted with a timer so that they switch themselves off at an allotted time. This is something I would look for as I approach the old and forgetful stage.

Mine is a Bosch integrated double oven , I’ve had it 4 years and used it seldom , but it heats up in no time and I got it because I had the same in my last house and loved it ,
but I do little cooking nowadays as you can maybe see , it’s been wiped down a few times but not cleaned ?
