They are just a fragrance not a softener.
It’s just another expense, do our clothes have to smell of cheap fragrance?
I do confess to having purchased some for putting inside smelly rugby boots and trainers, it worked.

It says on the packet they are harmful to aquatic life. For heaven's sake, why do they make this stuff?

These are dangerous to aquatic life, so once they get in the water course they kill our fish etc. These items are just the companies trying to make us think this is another must have item. Personally I have never understood the need to have clothing smelling of cheap perfume all the time and also over time they coat the fibres of the fabric leaving it stiff and flat.

I never use fabric conditioners

Has anyone used these, if yes, are they worth the money. My machine doesn't deliver fabric conditioner any longerno matter how many times I clean the dispenser so I thought these might be a perfect substitute as they are just put in the drum of the machine.
