Paint. Although I had lining paper put in the all before painting, because the plaster wasn't great. I'm regretting that choice now. The joins are becoming more and more obvious and it doesn't look good. But it cost hundreds to do and I'm reluctant to pay that much again when I've got such a long list of other things that need doing.

My favourite is white everywhere. I love the calmness of it. I'm a very non-fussy person and can't stand ornamentation.

When we moved in our home the lounge had a feature papered wall. Knowing that is hard work removing every trace of the wallpaper paste prior to applying emulsion we simply changed the wallpaper. Otherwise, it's emulsion all the way.

Generally paint, although I have used very light embossed paper to paint over on some walls.
Feature wall in kitchen diner.

Wallpaper for me. I've got a beautiful sample with a parrot looking at me right now.

Paint. I have never liked patterns on the walls, as it restrict ones choices of other furnishing (unless you like clashing patterns).

Wallpaper every time.

Paint. It's much easier to freshen up or change a look. Wallpaper requires scraping off.

Paint every time for me, I do have a feature wall in most rooms.

Or a mixture of both, which do you prefer, for me it’s paint all the way, used to have painted walls with one wall as feature in each room but now thinking paint all the way through.
