Changing stairs

I can't help with advice on cleaning, but I think they look lovely - do let us see a photo if you go ahead?

Glass will show sticky finger prints as well a nose prints from pets, it’s very modern and minimalist, if that fits in with the house

We have an oak and glass staircase and I could have a full time job cleaning the fingerprints off the glass from the grandchildren. ?‍♀️ Ah well. It does look nice though. I just use slightly soapy water and a dry cloth to clean it.

We have glass on our stairs. When we first saw the house I was very taken with it (the glass). The house is very modern with big windows and the glass suits the style. However it’s a nightmare to keep clean even with just the two of us and a dog, let alone children ?. I don’t let the window cleaner do it because he would drip dirty water on the light coloured stair carpet. I would never, ever have it again. If you value your sanity, don’t do it!

A good while ago I was very taken with these modern staircases, glass and metal.
But, I am so glad that we stuck with our old one. As I was becoming less able, I could use the wooden bannisters, to haul myself upstairs.
Last year I had a stair lift fitted and think I would have regretted spending £££'s on replacement banisters etc.
