Has anyone had one/bought one recently ? My electric oven door won't close properly (have had to improvise over last few months) bending down with mobility issues is a pain - have looked online and there seems to be plenty to choose from..am interested in a mini oven which can take dish size for up 2 people - they sell them in litres and not sure what I would need. Thanks for any adviceflowers

I had a mini oven. Sold it on now as have had kitchen re-fit and now have normal oven. Cannot remember the size of that oven, but I know when I purchased it, and when I a# sold it on I had the full dimensions both inside and out. So, do look for those. Mine was not the most upmarket, I did use my combi microwave a lot, but found it quite useful, particularly for grilling. Not all have a grill function, so if you do want that check that it does. The one I had could just about take in a 12 hole bun tray. Was okay, the temp control was not very accurate, but soon got used to that. Not a fan, which I was used to cooking with, I used to turn round bun trays, etc about half way through.

I think if I was needing something like that now, I would probably prefer to spend the extra and have one of the airfryer ovens.

I have used a 30 litre capacity mini oven , I have had no other oven, for 22 years.

I cook mainly for myself, plus four guest dinners. I could not cook dinner for two or more people on a smaller oven.

However if you are thinking of using the mni oven only for one person including full dinner, the smaller size would be enough.

Even if you cook for only one person a large casserole for freezing multiple small portions needs a 30 litre capacity.

Bea, it may be a good idea to think of the size of casserole dish, baking tray, or roaster you need and choose the mini oven size accordingly. For instance when I make oven chips for three I need the largest size of baking tray which just fits into my Russell Hobbes 30 litre mini oven.

PS for lifteng hot dishes from the mini oven I need it to have side opening door so I can put an iron trivet right in front of the oven. Some large dishes are hard to lift out of an oven and you need to think about the easiest way to position yourself to safely lift and put it down on the worktop.
