LPG what help available?

I filled my LPG tank earlier in the year so should get me through the winter. It was a better price when I filled it. But you can only do this if you are lucky enough to have a bit of savings to cover it.

£400 for everyone for the year for all fuel bills - comes via your electricity account I believe. Your electricity provider will credit your account with this so in theory you will pay less for electricity and have money left over for other fuels.

However ...... my electricity provider is asking me to up my direct debit in spite of this. I have done the maths and my current D/D will cover the estimated increase in my bill even without the £400. .

I was just reading on the Martin Lewis website that no decision has yet been announced about off grid customers as and park home owners. So I’m now more confused.

So is it the plan that because her electric bill is credited by the government the money she saves will help pay the LPG costs? Sorry if I’m being a bit thick here ?

Many people use oil for central heating and hot water.

I live in rural Cornwall. Lots have LPG here.

We have it for cooking and heating water. Log burner for heat. There’s no financial help. Cost of LPG is rising but nowhere near as much as electric.

I’ve heard there is a problem with delivery as there’s a shortage of drivers. We’ve had no problems yet.
