Freezer door alarm

My freezer does not defrost and has no inner light. It was the only freezer I could find that would fit in the space available. I occasionally leave the door open just a smidgen and then it gets full of ice and has to be defrosted. It is quite a performance as I am disabled, and all my shopping is delivered.

What I need is a freezer alarm. Has anyone got a recommendation please.

Never heard of such a thing. I have the same problems as you so I'll be following your post with interest.

I would probably just set my internal alarm and tell myself to take extra care every time I shut the freezer door. After all, we have to remind ourselves of many such things during the day, like switching things off etc.

My freezer door won’t open for a few seconds after closing , so I give it a tug after closing to make sure it’s closed
It does have an alarm but not loud enough !

I would stick a BIG notice on it saying PLEASE SHUT ME PROPERLY.

Friddgi door alarm for fridge from Amazon, goes off if door is left open, I assume it detects the light coming in?
Not sure if they do one for a freezer

Gosh I wish I was as efficient as some of the people on this thread but I am not so I bought an alarm from a site called alarm.com and it costs £14,99. Thank you helpful people.
