Transferring the government subsidy to a new energy supplier

We are about to move from a house where we have gas and electricity supplied by EonNext to an all electric new build apartment at the end of this month, supplied by SSE
I read somewhere that I cannot change the current supplier of the apartment for a month. How do I ensure that the £67 subsidy is picked up by my new supplier, or will I have to remain with the current supplier until April?
Any thoughts on this?

I would have thought it will be automatically added to you new supplier, why not ring them and ask
