Sofa search

We ordered a new sofa from Furniture Village with great trepidation as we saw some awful reviews on Trust Pilot. It arrived on time and we are delighted with it. It’s a very large corner sofa but firm which is what I like (nothing worse than sitting on a bouncy trampoline as we found during our months long search). Cost an arm and a leg though but is very supportive. It comes in a variety of configurations.

We actually had a bad experience with Furniture Village but that doesn't mean everyone does - they do have a very good range. We have bought from Oak Furniture Land, British made and a good guarantee, ours has been excellent.

My newest sofa and footstool was from SofaSofa which is an online retailer, but you can visit their showroom South Wales. It's British made, you can choose your covers ( and some are loose covered so you can order a second set)
The quality is excellent and the prices very competitive. I am very happy with my purchases.

Mine was from Furniture Village but is made by G-Plan It’s high backed very supportive, the seat area isn’t too deep either. It’s now 8 yrs old but as good as new.

Thankyou to everyone for fast response- Has anyone owned a Natuzzi sofa? Only because it had an adjustable lumbar support and l haven’t found anything else

Look at Ekornes/Stressless. Very well made comfortable and have specialist back support.

I too bought a sofa/footstool and chair from Sofa Sofa 3 years ago. We drove to the factory which is in Crymlyn Burrows, outside Newport. Being only 5ft 3ins. I wanted to try out the sofas, didn't want to choose one that left my legs dangling.

I am very happy with my purchase and only waited 3 weeks from ordering to delivery. As previously mentioned, the price was also reasonable.

We bought two Ercol sofas and they are excellent, a good height, supportive and just lovely, also made in Britain

TK Maxx are going to be selling the furniture from Made who’ve just gone bust. Could be worth a look maybe.

You have to be careful with purchases from MADE. We bought a TV unit, that was just what we wanted, but it had damage to one of the inside surfaces. Our DD bought a wardrobe and it was badly made. Contact with customer service was nigh on impossible. Hopefully those issues will be addressed when they are taken over.
