Advice on bleeding radiators..

I checked on google to see exactly where and which way to turn keys..still don't get it...

Is the valve not turning with the key Bea65 or just that no air is being released?

its not turning..have also tried a flat head screwdriver..it might be me as no power in hands/wrists...

I was about to suggest trying a screw driver but you’ve already done that. Sorry I can’t think what else to suggest other than asking someone to help if possible.

Thats what my plumber said to me.
I always hold a bunched up towel underneath to catch the water when it reaches the top.
You'll hear a slight hissing sound as the air escapes, but if the radiator's already full of water you'll just get (hot) water.

I find they keys fiddly for my arthritic fingers and usually drop it at the crucial point.

I found an old clock key that fitted the square valve head better and was easier to turn.
I don't see how a flat headed screwdriver could possibly help.

yes the keys are fiddly and like you my arthritic fingers are so weak/stiff so maybe will have to ask someone tocome in..

Good advice above. Might I add please ensure that you have turned off the central heating before you try to bleed the radiator. Otherwise you will have a fountain pumping out. I speak from experience

Have you any WD40 Bea65? If the valve has seized up a few drops of lubricant might ease it enough for the key to turn it.

ExDancer I do mine with a screwdriver as I’ve mislaid my key. It depends on the shape of valve.

Turn left ( anti clockwise) to loosen use a pair of pliers if they are too tight

I hold the key with a pair of pliers because there's no way I could turn it without some leverage. It only needs about a quarter turn. Good luck.

I have one of these which gives a bit more leverage, although a bit flimsy.

I love it too!
BUT I hate re-charging the boiler afterwards
