Unexpectedly useful gadget

Unfortunately our window frames are metal and today they are covered with ice. It's melting slowly leading to water pouring down them to the floor. Looks like I'll have to get the trusty Karcher out again!

I use mine in the car, quicker than waiting for it to de mist.

I rarely clean them these days. People don’t,here. When I lived in the uk I used to clean them all the time but now I wait until they are visibly grotty. As soon as you clean them the dust gets on them in the dry hot Summer weather anyway .

I might give it a go. It’s useless for cleaning windows!

If you haven’t got a Karcher, this really works.

I have to say I'm a convert to the Karcher window vacuum.

DH is also a "gadget" fan and when I said as we are both retired we need to share the housework he elected to clean the windows :-) so a "gadget" had to be found.

We now use it to clean down the shower after use instead of an old towel and I'm amazed just how much liquid it sucks up.

DD1 borrowed it when they had some rooms re-plastered to take the condensation off the windows and was so impressed she bought one.

However, the big Magi Mix he just had to have for bread making has been used twice and sits on the worktop gathering dust.

Thankfully the bread maker he borrowed from DD2 has gone back to her along with the soup maker so we don't have to store those :-)

DH, like many men, likes a gadget. Our 'glory hole' cupboard is full of them usually used once then put away.
However, recently in the very cold weather we wake up to our windows being covered in condensation when we open the curtains. It's most disconcerting. From the depths of the cupboard DH unearthed the hand held Karcher device. Basically it works like a hoover for water. He set to and hoovered up all the condensation. The water tank had to be emptied several times as so much water was 'sooked' from the windows. That's a whole lot of water that would have evaporated into the rooms and soft furnishings. Potentially leading to a development of mould.
Unfortunately it's now my job to do it. I don't mind though as it's very satisfying.
