Thank you for your answers. Shower spray now on shopping list!

I only ever have 3 minute showers so it seems like a waste of time and effort to me.

Essentially it’s the same as the tub when you’ve had a bath biglouis - body fats + water marks.

I’ve had this problem for years. We have 2 showers, one very old, one newer and I’ve tried all the sprays but still get soapy marks at the bottom half of the screens. Drives me nuts. I bought one of those karcher type things which helps but it is still a problem. The top halves look nice and sparkly clean so there is a contrast.

I never thought of cleaning it. Surely the water does that!

An Oxo good grips wiper then a quick swish with a dedicated hand towel works for me. Now and then I apply white vinegar, getting into small spaces with an old toothbrush before rinsing and doing as above. We live in a hard water area.

My installer said that the shower stall had been treated and it would be spoilt if I used anything on it. It seems to be the case, as it remains pristine.

A much hated job .
I'll try those sprays !

Daily shower sprays as others have mentioned. No problems.

Method spray and an Oxo good grips squeegee wiper here (this was recommended on a thread a couple of years ago, and it works!)

Told by our shower installer to use zilch on on shower cubicle, just wipe it down after showering. So far it works. Had it installed nearly a year ago. Seems as good as new. I’ve cleaned the tray and drain, soap dish etc but that is all.

I use Method too.
Had ours for a year and I've just given it a wipe down a couple of times with a cloth. Otherwise it's stayed pristine with a spray after a shower.

I use the Method spray, which is supposed to be more eco-friendly, and works very well.

We’ve moved into a house with a shower cubicle- never had one before. It’s such a faff cleaning it down! I don’t like using those sprays with chemicals in them and a friend said it turns the surface slimy eventually.

Then the ridiculous dirt traps such as the horrible groove around where the glass panels sit in the shower tray itself, which have to be cleaned with numerous cotton buds or a cloth attached to a stick of some sort to get down into it.

All this while I am wanting to get dressed!

Mostly, though, I adopt Urms strategy, ‘Bagsy me in the shower first! grin

Ours always looks like new.
Mind you I make sure I have first shower then call out “bathroom’s yours” to Himself.

Just white vinegar and water spray and finish with Vileda Magic, a bottle lasts a year!

Forsythia Tue 13-Dec-22 13:20:18

Me too and I use Waitrose own brand spray or Aldi.

FlexibleFriend

Astonish daily shower cleaning spray. Have a shower, spray the glass and leave it. Brilliant stuff.

Never had a problem by doing just this.. Spray once finished, leave.

You will love your new shower screen mrsgreenfingers .
My tip is: keep a bottle of Mr Sheen Prestige Shower Shine and a small household scraper with rubber blade by your shower.

I use the blade on the wet screen after a shower, then spray the Mr Sheen, then go over the glass one more time.
Takes a couple of mins after day and brings the screen up like new with min. effort (and we have hard water in my area).
A bottle is about £2 from Tesco, Sainsbury’s or Wilko.

I read that WD40 sprayed and wiped on to a clean dry shower glass shower screen makes the water run off without leaving streaks. It may be worth a try.

Had a revamp on the bathroom and replaced the shower curtain with a screen which looks nice and more modern but not finding it easy to clean at all. Looks so streaky especially if sun shining on it, just used to pop the shower curtain in the washing machine.

Any tips please ladies?
