Looking for a solution to get rid of hard water scale.

Thank you. I managed to put a plastic glove full of vinegar and twisted around tap. Left it all day and overnight. Rubbed it with a used (so not too rough) Scotchbright . Success it worked. Thank you.

Solved mine recently, after many years.
Cillit Bang 100% limescale remover.
Didnt even take much elbow grease.

I usually wedge half a lemon on the end of the tap, wrap an elastic band around and leave for a few hours or overnight.

Half a lemon, twisted on well, then held on overnight with clingfilm.

Me too, with Viakal liquid, but I use a small ballooon!

I used Viakal, thé thick one too, just drip some on, leave it a couple of hours, then wipe off.

If you don't want to use any of the above good tips, there is a gadget for the job.
Tap descaler

Use a descaler liquid on a bit of a rag, or cottonwool, put it on the end of the tap secured with some clingfilm. Leave it overnight.

Thick viakal, not the spray type, in a small plastic bag tied onto the tap. Also works if you tie it onto the shower head. Or citric acid dissolved In a little water

I might be wrong, but I think that WD40 works. Worth a try, perhaps.

If the end doesn't screw off, most do, cut the finger from an old pair of rubber gloves, fill with a descaler and slide over tap.
