Fancy getting fly screen for our french doors. Any advice here please. Appears you can have one to pull across or I see they do 2 which meet in the middle.

I have a magnetic one it parts in the middle then the magnets close it up again. It works very well I got it from Amazon.

I also have the magnetic mesh net doors that meet in the middle, bought off Amazon. Keep them up all year round and just tie back when not needed and over winter. They work best if when putting them up, if the centre top is lifted just a little higher. This encourages a good 'centre meet'.
They are brilliant and I'd thoroughly recommend them. I wouldn't buy just the cheapest you can find in case of poor quality.
Although my two meet magnetically in the middle, it is actually one unit, ie one piece.
Mine cost £17 for the standard back door size.

Thank you, yes we bought one last year, you are right they are good. This is what has convinced me to get the more substantial type you can push back and forth.

I just bought a huge pair of plain net curtains from IKEA, cut about a foot off the bottom and then strung them on one of those stretchy wire curtain wires hooked to the back of the finials on the end of my normal curtain poles. Easy to get in and out of the French doors and no flies in the house. In the winter Ijust push them back behind the normal curtains.

We also use a net curtain. It hangs from a spring pole that tensions across the door frame. I needed to weight the bottom as it’s always windy here and the breeze (howling gale) was blowing it back into the room. Take it down in the Winter. Works well enough. We just push it aside when wandering through.

I have had one on my conservatory door for a number of years now . It hangs from the top and is made from horizontal silver metal chains. Allow me to have the door open not a fly to be seen . I can walk through it easily, so can my cat! It allows fresh air in too. I have seen them on the doors of kitchen restaurants too or fish and chips shops .Mine is siver and looks good.
