Non slip shower trays

My shower tray is textured and I don't ever slip on it. My friend always wears Crocs in her shower. She has several pairs. It's a habit she's kept from living/working abroad. I suppose she takes one off to wash a foot?

I always use a bath mat ! Sticks well in the shower. After each use I rinse it in the bath and hang it to dry . This morning I took it out to my garden table and gave it a good scrub,! Tends to get soiled around the suckers. I have wondered if I dare put it in the dish washer every two weeks or so - not tried it yet !Would never shower without it and if on a self catering holiday I have taken it with me !

welbeck I gave that type some thought but I have read apparently over time it loosens the tiles to which it is attached. I am happy with my stool which is sturdy and easily cleaned. The legs on mine are easily adjustable. If attached to the wall you would have to get the height correct when fitting it.

i don't have a shower, but if i did i would like the kind with a seat that folds against the wall, and 2 legs that drop down for extra stability.
and grab rails of course.

Mine is supposedly non-slip but definitely is not. I, like others, put a mat down inside and out or I would go flying on my ceramic tiles. I pop the mats in the washing machine as and when and dry them carefully overnight. I need a stool in my shower so it sits fine on that until use.

We replaced our walk in shower a year ago. I always used a rubber mat to stop slipping in the old one. The replacement walk in shower is non slip and definitely no need for the rubber mat. The only thing is it isnt shiny smooth and isnt so easy to keep clean.

My tray is non slip until the morning that my foot went sideways because I had put foor cream on the night before

An ex neighbour of mine came out of the shower and went flying on his vinyl flooring so a shower mat on the floor is also a good idea

I do the same as Whiff use a mat but roll it up everyday and stand it up so it dries every time it’s used. I think my walk-in tray said it was non slip but I prefer to use the mat anyway.

Going back a few years but in my old house the shower was supposed to be non slip. But I slipped on some shower gel . After that always rubber mats still do. But I take them up and roll them in a towel to dry out so no black mould can grow under them. I someone who left hers down for months and wondered what the smell was until I lifted her mats. She started doing what I did with her new ones.

I would never trust anything to be non slip in the shower especially if you have mobility or balance problems.

Ours is non-slip it’s absolutely fine. Not sure of it’s name though.

I would recommend a stone block type shower base. Mine has a textured slip-resistant surface and is very thin. It almost sits flush with the tiled floor, so no edges.
