I bought one of those Flash speed mops (I know, you hear the darn song every time you say it 🙄). I've just done my kitchen ceiling with it and I'm very impressed.

Hi Ladies.
If you use the washable cloths on your flash mop does that mean your using soap and water as I’m guessing they’re not impregnated like the disposable ones.

What a great idea - use them on the ceiling. Maybe now I can get that exploding kombucha off the ceiling. wink

RakshaMK Fri 18-Aug-23 11:27:01

I use reusable pads

I never get rid of spiders, I like them.

Kitchen ceiling??

I wondered, too - then my husband said he'd vacuumed the ceiling today (I was out), as there were some cobwebs - I had left them for our resident spider.

They all congregate in the conservatory.
One parachuted down beside me the other day.

Another one lives under the cupboard in the downstairs loo, it just comes out each night to say hello. Goodness knows what it lives on as there are no flies in there!

I bought one recently and find it very easy to use. I found some cheaper wipes which fit for only 99pence a for 24.
The guy who does that advert looks a lot like the actor who played the part of the vicar in Poldark.

All these places people clean that I had not even noticed!!

😂😂😂

I might notice a cobweb in the corners of the ceilings occasionally and remove it!

But wash it?

Elless Fri 18-Aug-23 09:59:20

Midgey I did tried using my steam mop initially but it was too hot for the cladding on the ceiling.
Smileless I don't know if its sticky because I haven't walked on it 😂😂but I know what you mean, I seem to get the sticky feeling on my floors no matter what I use (usually the steam mop).
I've got the pvc panels on my ceiling with spotlights, and I also used it to do the tiles that are higher up. The pads were very wet and to mop the drips on the floor I simply put a piece of kitchen roll on the end - fitted perfectly.

My motto is best not to look - and if you must, remove your glasses first.

🤣🤣🤣 or these 😎😎😎

I use the underside to wipe down the outside of my windows and front door after wiping the kitchen floor. So I feel that I use it to the full before putting it the bin.

Redhead56 Fri 18-Aug-23 09:31:49

I use one very handy if you have a dog but the strip for awkward marks is pointless.

Auntieflo Fri 18-Aug-23 09:27:50

But, how lazy is the chap who uses one in the adverts?
All around the chair legs etc, etc. never moves anything.
No wonder he mops the floor so quickly.

Casdon Fri 18-Aug-23 09:25:18

I love mine, but I now use Wilko floor wipes instead of the proper Speedmop wipes. They fit well onto the little grippers, and they are biodegradable. I’ll have to search for a new source now Wilko have gone under.

I have one too - but kitchen ceiling? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have a bad neck so can’t look up. Don’t know if my ceilings need cleaning but I am not looking and will never know!

buffyfly9 Fri 18-Aug-23 09:03:46

They are fantastic but the price of them is high! I could not believe the colour of the first pad I used and only two days before I had used my steam cleaner! They have a nice fragrance and are really quick and convenient, to save the environment (!) I turn them over and re attach to the mop head, they are quite thick and the other side cleans almost as well.

Franbern Fri 18-Aug-23 08:47:27

Never seeing adverts. no idea what song is being recalled.

Must say that forthe past three yearw Ihav had Voleda 1-2 mop. And cannot think of any easier system. No waste at all. The microfibre heads just go straight into the washing machine each time they are used. I keep three or four spares. Nothing fo land fill or nay othr rubbish disposal.

Okay, do ceilings as these cannot be turned upside down. However, I have never wished or needed to mop any of my ceilings!!!

I don’t like them for floors. I have laminate with a rough surface and it doesn’t clean it properly, but it’s good for the bathroom tiles, saves climbing on the steps.

I’ve been wondering about one of these with the reusable pads. Are they any better than a steam mop…..or just different.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 17-Aug-23 19:26:34

Lakeland sell a similar mop with washable e-cloth pads.

They are equally as good as the disposable sheets.

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 17-Aug-23 17:50:31

No, they don’t leave my floors sticky. Yes, they go to landfill and I agree it’s shameful but I only have so much time for cleaning floors.
