The satin stainless Steel ones are better than the plain but both shown some marks. Another vote for cheap and cheerful Logic as mine has far outlasted more expensive ones.

BB I do love that new powder blue colourway I bet they look really smart in your new house.

I have just bought a beautiful powder blue one from Swan and the toaster, mug tree, kitchen roll holder and bin. My treats on moving house.

Asda cheap grey kettle here. Lid now starting to show wear from the steam after several years. Will renew with another cheap Asda - one of their fancier ones but still cheap.

I’m very fond of my Morphy Richards kettle and matching toaster.

I have a Breville kettle, it does need a wipe but it doesn't really show the marks.

There are other retailers available but this is the best picture!

The matching toaster looks good but, like all toasters, is rather temperamental.

I've gone right off stainless steel - in any shape or form. The dishwasher door, some drawer fronts and the cooker hood are a real pain to clean. Fingerprints and water marks quickly cause a tarnishing that can only be removed with metal polish - and life is just too short. I like the look of it when it's shiny - but that's a rare event.

My hob kettle is black enamel and the Breville hotcup dispenser (ideal for 1 or 2 mugs) is black and matt silver plastic.

Thank you all for your replies. The one she has now does not show marks. But it is very old and now leaks. Unfortunately they no longer sell the same brand. I think she purchased it from Dixon's. So you can see how long ago.

A satin finish stainless steel does not show marks.

Apologies for sneaking in a kettle related question of my own ... but where does one find a kettle that doesn't sound like a jet engine taking off when it is heating up? Mine clatters so loudly I can't hear myself think.

We have a lovely pretty patterned one from Laura Ashley . White , not silver though .

Stainless steel will show finger prints.
A coloured one is her best option, in your position I would stop looking for what I believe is a wild goose chase!!

Hi shysal. I also have a metal white kettle but she wants a stainless steel.

shysal Thu 05-Oct-23 13:44:27

Is there such a thing? My white kettle is Asda's cheapest and can't fault it!

Good afternoon ..... I am looking for a stainless steel kettle for my daughter. That doesn't show any finger prints/smudges on it. Any recommendations please?
