Hoping someone can advise with regard to the above. We are still in the planning stages of our simple bathroom renovation due to plumber's ill health. It was meant to happen last year but here we are starting over.
We will be keeping our bath with shower over and I have been looking at the motorised seats with a view to helping my husband.
Are they as reliable as reviews suggest?
Any GN reviews would be most helpful.
Thank you.

Sorry no personal experience to offer but I do know someone who had one fitted by their local council after an occupational therapy assessment. Her husband had mobility issues and getting in and out of the bath was difficult. It might be worthwhile making an enquiry via your local council for advice.

Hopefully someone might see your post and have personal experience of bath lifts but in meantime this is the link to a previous thread where various options were discussed.

My Late MiL had one supplied by local authority. Worked fine bit of a contraption though.

Occupational therapy provided one for my husband. It was a great help as he had become very unsteady. BTW he weighed at least 18 stone so they are quite robust!

Mum had one she used it a few times then gave up it was swinging her legs over the bath that was difficult even with help. Definitely try using one before you commit.

We have a wet room with a seat to future proof, good grab handles even if we are wheel chair bound it still works.

I was given one of those bath seats, with wings, by OT, but sent it back. I still like to shower and it was taking up most of the bath space. Now I am following Doodledog's bathroom thoughts.
