Well I am not getting an Ebac because when I went into my local independent electrical retailer he was not very keen on them at all. Told me he’s had quite a bit of trouble and had them returned so I have gone for a Bosch, there is a promotion on at the moment where I can get five years parts and labour guarantee. Also they will take my old machine away and install the new one. All this comes in at just under £500 made a dent in my savings, but needs must.

Ebac washing machines were subject of a thread in July 2022.

Do you have one Primrose?
It sounds interesting if it is guaranteeing parts and labour.
I'm assuming that is on site and it doesn't mean you need to send it back like you might do a dehumidifier?

They are made in this country and are very well made and this is reflected in the price.

Elliott Brothers Air Control was formed in 1972 with a factory at Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham.
50 years on, it’s still there, employing over 450 people.
Yes, mainly known for de-humidifiers (selling 100000 a year) but with a good track record and that 7 year warranty (not a cheap machine) why not go for it Shinamae.

Ebac are probably best known for manufacturing dehumidifiers. I have one and it's excellent. I don't know anyone who has one of their washing machines, though.

I have always had good old faithful, cheap and cheerful Indesit. My first one lasted 20+ years . I only replaced it because I was downsizing and wanted a washer/ dryer .

? a variant of ee-by-gum, maybe ?

if money is no problem, bosch and miele are reckoned to be v good.

Just read up on them, the reviews are excellent and they are made in the UK!
They currently have a sale.
I will be buying one when my current machine gives up.

what do the reviews say.
have just bought a TCL from Marks Electrical, who deliver in under a day.

Not heard of Ebac

Never heard of Ebac brand, but the parts & labour warranty sounds brilliant.

Basically I need a new washing machine and I’ve been thinking about an Ebac and I just wonder if any of you have experience of the brand
It does come with seven year warranty for parts and labour which does make it quite attractive..
