Tinted window film for conservatory

My daughter used this on her kitchen doors which were full glass panels to cut out the sunlight which made the kitchen very hot in summer. It has been excellent for that purpose. It also provides privacy in that you can see out but others can’t see in unless it’s night time and you have a light on.

Sorry to be dim but could you say what it is that your daughter used please? Was it the tinted film? If it was please could you give details. It's possibly something I could use on garden room windows.

perfect fit insulating shades would be better, they are white on the outside. Dark film woud not be good, dark absorbs heat.

Trish we had tinted film put on two of our south facing windows. It is not obvious. I guess it makes a slight difference.

I was quite keen on this option but the conservatory is made of uvpc, and I’m not sure how to fix the sails to it. Is yours uvpc and if so how did you manage this?

The back of my house is south facing including my bedroom. I put heat reflective film on my bedroom window only and the difference is amazing. I'm thinking of getting all the windows on that side done.

We've got blinds on the part of the conservatory which is affected by the sun. They were inexpensive and very easy to fit. they are in a white fine fabric and we just pull down what is needed, when it's needed.

I’m almost sure my son has got blinds in his conservatory.

Why not use shades? We have those sale shades which diffuses the light very successfully.

I will watch this thread with interest - I too have been contemplating this but haven't yet fully decided.
