Well, I’ve just received an email from Amazon stating that they’ve closed my account because I’ve requested too many refunds. I don’t think that I’ve ever requested a refund in all the years of buying through them! I’m now wondering if my account was hacked…

I have no problems but I agree to having to stay alert not to get caught up in their 'free' prime. No way do I want that. Also they've made it more difficult to navigate to the free postage facility. I just delay ordering until I can find it. Nothing I buy is ever that urgent.

dalrymple23 was the bag of dog food opened and partly used by any chance, or was it sealed?

Amazon have been a lifeline to me since the start of the pandemic and I have continued to order a lot of items from them. I buy all the health food goods that I used to get from a health shop which never reopened after the first lockdown, and they are much cheaper from Amazon.

I've got M.E. and Fibromyalgia and a number of other health conditions and getting out to the shops is often difficult. I've got Amazon Prime and deliveries are prompt and efficient.

We have Amazon Prime and use it a lot. I never have any problems with it and returns are dealt with quickly. I use the specified delivery day service.

We use this too, and never had a problem.

As far as charity shops are concerned, they are now very selective with what they accept, as some of the premises are small with little storage space. It is quite incredible at times when people donate smelly clothes, dirty shoes & boots, broken toys, chipped bric a brac, grubby books etc. It is not until the bags of donations are opened that one realises the goods can only be recycled or binned, certainly not sold.

I don't have a problem placing orders and generally, things are delivered on time. However, last year, I wanted some crafting card, I searched for the product I needed and came across an item described as 'thick card for art and school projects'. It was sold in multi coloured packs and looked perfect - but is was as think as tissue paper. I complained, received an alternative at no extra cost and was refunded the cost of the first batch which they told me to keep.

On the topic of donated and offering stuff to charity or for free....I have also tried to gift things but people either want them delivering and setting up or they are totally oblivious of the size of things........I was gifting a double bedstead which wouldn't come apart and needed a van to carry it......some numpty rolled up in a Nissan Micra and thought they could get it in the boot!!

I haven't had any problems either with ordering and although it involves a bit of effort I've always been able to speak to someone there if I ever have problems with non delivery of an item..

I don’t have complaints about Amazon , but I certainly have a gripe about charity shops. They have to have “too much stock” - fair enough. I now just dump my stuff with the fortnightly collection, or wait till the drive-around charities provide me ‘bags’ .

It's got a bit more tedious to order from them - you have to be switched on to avoid an unwanted subscription to Prime, or to make sure you get the cheapest delivery possible. But I've not had any other issues.

Agree with charities not wanting stuff at times. I sometimes get turned away because they are full to the brim, rather than the items not being wanted as such.

I have the Amazon App. Nothing could be easier and quicker to use.
No problems with the items/quantities. Delivered on time every time.

No issues for me and in fact they have been utterly reliable. I have bought numerous items this year, things I cannot get locally.

Have you inadvertently signed a repeating order on amazon? Very easy to do that. Take a careful look at your account.
Putting the dog food on freecycle might get rid of it.
The timber was probably treated so not safe to burn.

I too am an avid user of Amazon and don’t really experience any issues.

I’ve had no recent problems with Amazon, multiples of the same thing and other items in my basket, so I don’t understand. The last order I made like this was yesterday.
