My steam cleaner didn’t clean the marks from my sofa ( it freshened it up) but I used an upholstery spray and a cloth.

The spray did remove marks, (red wine and sticky fingers), but it also faded the fabric in the spots I had applied it.

Definitely try it out on a patch that is hidden.

Be careful with a steamer, the fabric may not stand up to the heat.
I use a clean well wrung micro fibre cloth dipped in warm water with some vanish powder added.
I then go over it with a clean dry cloth.

Has anyone got any tips for cleaning my very light coloured sofa and chairs in the lounge? I was thinking I could a hand held steam cleaner if such a thing exists??
