sliding or folding door needed

We live in a relatively small house & years ago I replaced my lounge door with a bifold & removed the kitchen door coming.
As we rented it out for a few years we have remodels & replaced again the lounge with a bifold , left the kitchen door off as it gives way to a more open space & also replaced the upstairs bathroom with bifold . We had a friend who is a carpenter fit & they work for us .

Sorry I meant a folding door NOT bi-folding door.

I have a bi-folding door. I had the same problem near the fridge so we fitted a folding door which we bought from Wicks. It only cost us £39 twenty years ago and we also got it from Wickes. It has been a godsend.

I replaced my kitchen door with a sliding, fully glazed one. In a small kitchen the door took up a lot of space, and as my hallway is totally internal this new door also allow natural light there. There was room on the wall outswide the kitchen for this door to slide,

When I had my en-suite done, I had the heavy door to be replaced with a bi=fold one. Not only is this so much neater and takes up so much less space in this room, it also means that, should I have a fll in there, then me on the floor be preventing access.

We have a solid, panelled, sliding door in the kitchen, it slides into the space between the fridge freezer and the wall. We brought it from our old house (it wasn’t used as a door!) because it has our children’s and grandchildren’s heights on it. We were really pleased to be able to use it here!

I have a folding door which I loved when I got it but I no longer like i don’t know why it just annoys me

Would rehanging a door to open outwards be an another option?

I was going to suggest a Pocket Door, but see Georgesgran beat me to it.

An envelope or pocket door might be suitable. DD2 has one in her lounge as there used to be an open arch from the hall and they couldn’t get a door to fit, or room to open it is they could.

I've a bi-fold door from lounge to kitchen and yes its extremely useful in cutting down kitchen smells...think it was purchased from Wickes ...and, its useful to see if its raining without having to get up and open the back door😋
