Hi everyone. I have been using these for several years, always Morphy Richards. Love it, but today my third one has packed up. I don’t do anything wrong or different and use maybe weekly at most. Has anyone else had so many fail them, or if not, what brand can you recommend please?

I just use a stick blender and it's awesome. Less washing up. Mine is v high powered at 600W, which I love.

My soup maker had a motor failure in the first six weeks, COVID lock downs made it difficult to return, so,as I bought it in the sale, I just put it in the recycling and went back to saucepan and liquidizer.

I use a stick blender too, does the job.

Pressure cooker and stick blender works for me , mainly because I make a large amount at a time and freeze in portions

Giant pan and stick blender, so I can make gallons (bit of an exaggeration)!

Perhaps a new pan would suit?

Apart from not packing up, pans are simple. Just a spoon and a pan.

I think you have been unlucky. I have a Morphy Richards one from before the pandemic. Use 2 or 3 times a week in winter. Still on first machine. Do you use frozen veg at all?

When I was queuing in JL with a Morphy Richards soup maker in my hand, a young man came over to me to tell me that ‘it is a great gadget until it breaks after 6 weeks’
I stupidly ignored him and he was right! Mine lasted about 12 weeks, being used twice a week.
Back to the stick blender and pan.

I have a Tefal soup maker, I've had it for at least 6 years. It's brilliant.

Try Salter. I’ve had it for ages and it’s still going.

Mine’s a Tefal and, like LadyGracie, I’m very happy with it. I’ve had it about 5 years.

Mine’s a Morphy Richards, which I’ve had about three years. I use it once or twice a week in the cold months, and haven’t had any problems 🤞.
