Winter duvets

Mine is from M&S with a proper cover. Actually it's two which clip together, 9.5 tog and 4.5 tog, so fine for summer or winter.

I just bought a 13.5 tog washable duvet from M and S. I’ve never bought one from there before but I’m very impressed with it the cotton cover is lovely and thick, as is the duvet, it’s a bit too warm at the moment, but will be lovely and cosy in winter.

We have had two thermal duvets 15 tog from Amazon. The make was something like Slumberland. Pleased with them.

The king size duvet on my bed is all season's 2 duvets 10.5tog and 4.5tog during winter months the press stud together at the corners. Mines by Silentnight had it from. Amazon . Cotton outer and no allergy filling. Very warm and not heavy.
Ours might be Silentnight, not Slumberdown, Whiff.
It sounds the same, very light but warm.

I think we bought it in the Original Factory Shop.

Ps what's a teabag cover?

Instead of the cotton type fabric that covers the filling it looks like teabag paper and can tear easily.

I think we got a single one free with a bed once years ago.

I'm another low tog person. 1 tog atm, then I will go up to 4.5 tog.
I always buy from either M&S or JL but they have to be washable.

Mine is great, bought from Scotts of Stow. It's 100% goose down, very light but very warm. It's actually two that button together. I use the lighter one in the summer, the heavier tog in the winter. I rarely need to button them together to get 13.5 tog which is too warm for this highly insulated house.

My duvet is 4.5 tog. Only on my bed during the cold winter months. I never have any heating on in my bedroom, but being too warm in bed prevents me sleeping. At present I just have a coverlet over flat sheet - these coverlets are about 1.5 tog. Still have my bedroom window open all the time. Duvet has not been used since last April and will probably go on during November/December. Use at night a short sleeved cotton nightie.

I renewed mine this summer, as it was about seven years old, and replaced it with the same, M&S feather filled (allergic to polyester and rubber) winter/summer 2 duvets in 1.
I don’t heat the bedroom so I like a high tog.

Have 2 duvets for my spare double bed from Asda a 13.5 tog and a 4.5 tog both anti allergy and cotton covers. As I rarely have people stay during winter months and if I do it's usually my brother and sister in law so they like the 13.5tog.

I have them washed every 2 years by a company who picks up and deliveries them.

I also have a 4.5tog single bed duvet from Asda I use when I have the 4.5 tog on my bed as my legs can get cold so that just have it horizontal across my bed.

All my bedding is from Dunelm. They have fitted sheets for different depths of mattress.

Ours is a summer/winter duvet; one light 4.5 tog, one 10.5 tog but they can be joined together if the winter is going to be particularly cold.

We've tried a feather and down duvet but weren't that happy with it and also an expensive cotton-filled duvet (heavy and I found it not at all comfortable although DH liked it).

I swear by my pure wool winter duvet with flannelette bedding from half term onwards through to Easter.

Hanging on at the moment with silk summer quilt in the said covers and no bedroom heating - have succumbed to CH in sitting room last two evenings but like a cooler bedroom to 😴 at night!

I think we bought one with a soft white all cotton cover at Dunelm last year, but can’t swear to it.I don’t like the teabag duvets either.
Just put clean bedding on today and changed the Summer duvet for the Winter one as the weather has changed.

We just bought one from M and S, we only need 10.5 tog because neither of us feel the cold. You can get 13.5 tog ones and the quality of all their duvets is excellent. We also have a 7.5 tog duvet from M and S with a touch of silk which is very light and cool.

I like the all seasons, which split for summer & winter. Can easily be washed in the washing machine. I like a 100% cotton cover

We have a new one. All weather type, so a 4.5 tog one for summer and a 10.5 one for winter. They pop together so a total of 15 togs when it’s freezing cold. It is not tea bag type cover , they are really budget type.

I got a very nice one from sainsbury.
It has a proper outer cover, because I don't like the teabag type ones, either.

I’d look at John Lewis. Not the cheapest but they do stock all sorts, from ££££ pure goose down, down to ‘value’ synthetics.
