I have been using the Phox water filters for a number of years and can highly recommend them
Thanks Dippynan. The only negative I've seen about it is that it can be fiddly to fill the cartridge. I've got arthritis in my fingers which makes just about everything fiddly, so I'm just concerned that I'm going to have difficulty with it.
Do you have the tall one or the one that fits in the fridge?
I bought a water filter jug from Tesco when they were on offer. I bought it because we have a lot of lime in the water here and the kettle filter wasn't good. I figured if I filtered the water first it would help. When the filter that came with the jug expired I couldn't find the filters on sale separately- so bought a kettle in the end!
Anyone got one of these? I bought a new Brita jug thinking that the cartridges from my old one would fit but they don't which is a bit annoying.
So basically I've got a Brita jug which was half price in Sainsburys (£12 I think) but still have 3 cartridges from a pack of 5 which probably cost more than that. It's probably cheaper for me to find a deal on the jug that my cartridges fit than buy cartridges for the new one. Daft isn't it?
I'm tempted by the Phox one - more expensive to start with but you refill the cartridge, you don't have to change the whole thing. The refills are marginally cheaper than buying cartridges but the whole system is more sustainable and eco friendly. Seems to get good reviews, just wondering if anyone here has anything to say about Phox?
