a while back, I took up the recommendation of Delphis Eco limescale remover. Well, it has finally arrived. I am sitting in the Customs Office as I write, waiting to collect my parcel.

I hope I'm not charged much customs duty; the postage was quite a lot already!
(This stuff had better be good!)

So sorry but I bought this, Waitrose offers and the Royal Warrant lured me in.

It was useless, the Viakal is back in the cleaning caddy.

Method Shower Spray works for me. Just spray on the wet glass straight after a shower and leave to dry.
We are in a hard water area

I use Delphis. Seems to work okay. I suppose it might depend on how much limescale is there. We have very hard water so I de-scale quite frequently to stop it building up.

Lie jemimasmum use Method daily shower spray - or indeed any of the supermarlets own versions of this. Live in hard water area and this works very well. Do use scraper type of thing, firstly to take off most of the water before spraying.

On the Delphis bottle it says to spray on and leave for a few seconds (!). Well I leave it on much longer than that. I scrape the water off after showering and spray the glass, rub it in with a scouring pad and leave it until after breakfast. then I scrub down again, squeegee off and wipe with a dry cloth. So I've been doing this since the beginning of this thread and the bottle is nearly empty.

If anything, it has got worse.

I'm tearing my hair out.

Whilst doing out the bathroom cupboard, I discovered a couple more bottles of various liimescale removers. DH must have bought them and thought that by putting them in the cupboard they will do their magic by remote control. I'll try those out next.

When we had a new shower etc, the installer said to never use any preparation on the shower screen or walls. That was 3-4 years ago. They are still like new. The only stuff I use is spray bleach around the floor edges to keep clean and vinegar and soda in the drain.

We always wipe down after our daily shower without fail.

We live in a hard water area.

The only thing you need to clean glass showers tile walls etc is water with nothing added and a dry cloth.
The problem most people do is allow all the soap etc to dry and there is the problem.
The only thing I do after a shower is immediately wipe the glass/tiles with a dry cloth and buff up with another dry cloth, done that's it.
My bathroom with shower over was installed in 2007 and it's just like new because it's cleaned after each use.
I also wipe down the fitted sink after each use, takes all of 20 seconds. I can't see the point of making work for myself when the solution is so simple.
I live in a very hard water area.
I don't have mold either.

After many years of having the shower in the bath and using Viacal which is brilliant, we now have a proper shower.
It isnt going well cleaning wise.
I still can’t get the marks off that their big sucker thing made on the glass, which is annoying.
So, do I have to wipe everything down before I get out ? Where do you keep the dry cloths? Is it too late to do it after I’ve dressed, then take slippers off and wade onto the wet shower tray, backing out as I clean it all? It all sounds a huge faff after my comparatively easy bath cleaning ( I now realise).
I thought having a shower rather than having to lean over the bath would be easier to keep clean, but I haven’t found an easy way yet,

I always dry the glass after my shower once dressed. Stand on a towel.that needs washing and use another one to dry the glass . Still no marks after 4 years. Plus I always dry the shower mats so no black mould growth. The spray the shower base with antibac cleaner. Once a month put down drain unblocker down the shower drain and my sinks .

Mr Muscle shower spray, spray in immediately after showering, leave to dry , do not wipe with a cloth. Simple and effective.

The same with Lidls own brand.

I don’t get soap on shower screen just water and if left wet, the limescale stains. I think it takes more than 20 seconds jeannie99 to wipe and dry the screen and sink, so I don’t, and OH definitely wouldn’t!

I do tend to use the shower spray or viakal when screen gets coated, but think chemical spray is harmful so the answer is to STOP BEING LAZY I guess. ☹️
