We are moving from West Wales to London area and are searching for a reliable removal company. AnyVan have quoted a very reasonable price but we don’t know if they are any good. On Trustpilot most of the reviews are good with some very bad, but other independent reviews seem dire! Any advice most welcome.

there is no such thing as Anyvan Removals, this is a broker site

are there no removal companies local to you who regularly
do this trip, its a straight run, not complicated, bear in mind ‘proper’ firms will then charge 20% vat and insurance but we found a few Anyvan couriers boast they have insurance UP TO
£5k - unbelievable really.

If you want to pay two half wits with bad backs, no straps blankets trolley tail lift in a filthy unmarked van then its what you will get.

This takes a while, to find an affordable removaller and depending on how much stuff you have, an assessor should come to your house and quote so you can judge their worth.
We had a couple of very dodgy geezers and a fly-by-night recommended, settled for a local family firm, sans vat, excellent.

If a positive review is the writers only review then it is coerced, transactionl and worthless, I guess you know this.

Dont do as we did and go for the cheapest quote as it was false economy! The lorry couldnt be turned off whilst loading or unloading otherwise it wouldnt restart. Lesson learned for future. When mil moved she used a well known company and what a huge difference in professionalism.

We moved the other way about 8 years ago. It took two days . First to empty house and removal men parked their van at their secure site. They set off very early the next morning and were with us in W Wales just on lunch time. Van then emptied and they left about 5. I think, but am not certain it cost about £1000, but was well worth it. They were efficient and nothing was broken or damaged. Well worth the money.

JamesandJon33, AnyVan quoted just over £1000 and two other quotes came in at over £3000! We said we’d do the packing ourselves. I know it was 8 years ago but can you remember who you used. We are moving to St Albans.

We move out tomorrow. We googled for removal companies in our area. We checked out 1 national company and 2 local companies. All three had reasonable reviews. We then got them into quote and discuss the move with us. We then compared quotes and how accomodating people were when they came round and made our decision.

Our move includes everything going into store for about six months.

I know this is an old post but ( once again) TrustPilot has been mentioned.
I’ve put this info up many times but I will do so again because they are not to be Trusted

I have not received it.

I currently sit at my disk in the midst of clutter while 4 removals men beaver around. It was a bit overwhelming to begin with, but the dustbis beginning to clear.
