Does anyone have a Baxi combi boiler ? help please !

We have gloworm one had to top it up yesterday

Baxi Combi boilers are the easiest of the lot when it comes to re-pressurising. Usually you only have to do it once in a blue moon. As others have said pull down the lever etc etc etc and bingo you have heat and hot water again
However...recently my fairly new Baxi started misbehaving and lost pressure overnight - every night. As DH "doesn't do boilers" the responsibility for sorting it out fell to me. Although it was simple enough to get it pressurised again I decided to call the plumber to take a look. He wasn't too sure what the cause was but decided it might be a faulty part and arranged for a Baxi engineer to call. Long story short, the engineer turned up, replaced a part, and my boiler is behaving itself once more.
I'm actually pretty impressed with the service I received from Baxi - (thankfully the boiler was still under warranty).

Thanks everyone, I put on my 'Big Girl Pants' and pulled the lever, topped it up and then switched the heating on, and thankfully all worked ! I was just a bit afraid as I always had traditional boilers and not combi and this was all new to me, but thanks to everyone who took the trouble and time to reassure me. Much appreciated.

I have a baxi boiler and I do top mine up. There is a small lever which I pull down which tops up the water. Pull the lever down then watch the green dial to see how full it is getting. When enough just push the lever back up.

I have a Baxi combi, and I had to do this yesterday, there wasn't anything flashing but I noticed the pointer was below the green, just pull the lever till it goes up to the green part then let go ....you may have to press reset...

I don’t go anywhere near the boiler - I dare not touch the Timer’ - too complicated - so I just change the thermostat in the lounge. I turn it right down before I go to bed and turn it back to about 16 in the morning. It’s on all day - my house is warm, but I dread the bills !

Have you contacted Baxi at their factory in Warwick as they have a help desk.

House holder can do that.
Any consolation our plumber said Baxi use metal parts in their boilers & that’s the brand we will using when replace our 8 yr old Bosch that has been utterly useless- all plastic parts 🙄

For combi boiler heating systems you normally turn off the heating before bleeding the radiators, then top up the boiler - ensure that the needle is within the green section - and reset.
Alternatively, call a heating engineer and ask them to do it but show you step by step just what they are doing, that way you can avoid calling them out again for what really is a simple fix once you know what to do.

I had this with my boiler just yesterday. It happens every year or so with mine . The action to top up the pressure in mine involves opening and closing 2 small levers. I always worry I’ll leave the wrong one open so I take a photo on my phone before I touch anything to ensure I leave it as I found it.

You might also want to check your radiators for leaks and see if they need bleeding because this can affect the pressure in a combi boiler.

We have to do this when our combi boiler loses pressure. In our case we turn a knob until the needle goes into the green section. It does work.

The boiler has lost pressure. The lever will put more water into the system and pressure will be restored and the boiler should work. Pull the lever until the needle rises to the top of the green triangle then let it go. Then press the ‘reset button’ for a couple of seconds and it should be okay. If it isn’t, call a plumber!
