We are thinking about downsizing and planning ahead for possible mobility problems which DH is already experiencing. Definitely can’t afford a bungalow in our area which are out of our price range. We’ve considered a ground floor apartment but would miss the outside space. Which brings me to the question. We have been considering a park home. Some nice ones close by but I think I need to get a honest opinion about the pros and cons and ask if any grans out there have experience?

They will all have steps because they all sit above the ground, though if you have enough space around you I suppose you could have a ramp. Lots of ground floor apartments have a little gaden or patio.

We've bought a first floor retirement apartment which sits in nice grounds, which someone else will maintain!
We'll be able to leave a window open without worrying about the security.
We'll have a nice outlook as it's over the top of any parked cars.
There's a lift if we need it.
