bedroom colours

In our spare room, the walls are a steel blue, the duvet from Ikea is white/grey, and the sheets and pillowcases bright yellow .
The window is quite high up and deep silled, so we did a woven blind inset into the frame, and the lampshades are woven as well. I think it looks nice.

Since your walls are light greyish blue, you could go for soft neutrals like white, cream, or light taupe for a calm look, or add contrast with navy, deep teal,or mustard for a stylish pop. Floral or geometric patterns could add interest without overwhelming the space. Do you prefer a cozy or a more elegant feel?

I would go for yellow but not a lemon, more of a sunshine yellow, paler or darker as you like. This would look good against the greyish blue, brightening the room without making it too garish. It would slightly warm the look of the room as the blue is a cold colour. in the summer the blue will be cooling but in the winter I think the yellow would just make it look a little warmer.

Several years ago we painted our bedroom in Bumblebee, which was a lovely golden yellow. The room has windows on the side and front so gets the sun nearly all day. It was a lovely cheerful sunny colour.

Also have light greyish blue walls. Just got these lovely burnt orange Orla Kierly curtains from John Lewis.

I think a peachy/orangey colour would go well with grey/blue walls. Or if a muted fabric colour is chosen, then a bright citrus-coloured throw to lay at the bottom of the bed perhaps.

I love lovely fresh lemony floral with a bluey grey for a spring look.

What is this love for grey? We went to choose vinyl floor for the bathrooms - you could have everything as long as it was grey. We did manage to get some white but even that had some slight grey in it. It does look nice though!

I think mustard or terracotta could be a good choice. You could have two shades maybe?

I think these are great suggestions for that room. There are so many great choices, but without knowing your budget it’s hard to know where to suggest you might look. I’m a big fan of Piglet’s cotton bedding. Not cheap but lovely to sleep in.
But Zara Home, H&M and IKEA have some lovely bright designs at keener prices. I think it can be difficult to imagine what bedding is going to look like in my own bedrooms. I often just order/buy one pillow case from a few different designs and try them out at home. Then return the ones that you don’t want. But do look carefully at the returns policy. Many retailers no longer accept returns on bedding if the packaging has been opened. I was surprised to see this recently when I was buying bedding.

How about something with a background of burgundy and a sprinkling of a lighter shade.

But with the blue/grey walls the plaster colour could be nice on the bed/curtains.

Mabon1 the OP is asking for suggestions for the colour scheme, not pattern or plain.

It would help if you told people whether or not you like, plain, pattern or stripes.
