I m looking to buy a dishwasher with a cutler tray on the top pull out drawer. Has anyone got one and would you recommend, thanks

Ours is a Siemens, it has a cutlery draw at the top, I can recommend it.

We have an IKEA one. Flat drawer at the top .

Ours is a Bosch, pull out cutlery drawer at the top- no complaints!

Miele, definitely recommend.

Mines a Miele too, love the cutlery tray so much better than a cutlery basket. Safer too for knives in my opinion, less chance of spiking yourself.

Miele - cutlery drawer at the top.

Samsung with a top cutlery tray. I never use it and instead bought a cutlery basket.

A top cutlery tray means that you cannot put any dishes, flat, on the upper tray. I also have lots of mugs and glasses on the top shelf and these too impede the water getting to the cutlery

I have a cutlery basket. My d.I.l. has a cutlery tray ….frankly I think my cutlery comes out cleaner than hers.
Cutlery basket gets my vote .

No safety issue with basket - just remember to place the knives blades down

I agree that the cutlery basket at the top is not necessarily an improvement. It takes away space from the middle basket and as it does not have its own spray arms, you are limited as to what you can put in said middle basket.

Also, as it is relying on the spray from the level below, it does not always clean so well, especially if you have dropped the middle basket to take taller mugs or glasses, which brings the spray even further down, away from the cutlery tray.

I would never go back to a cutlery basket. More room for pans etc on the bottom and I have no issue putting stuff in the top basket.

Ours is a Bosch.

The Miele enables you to adjust the gap between your shelves.

The cutlery shelf can also be slide to half it etc.

As someone else has suggested Miele. Not the cheapest but I think worth it.
