Hoping for some tips that might work. At the beginning of COVID we bought a small chest freezer to stock up with vital items in case of problems with food shopping. Said freezer was still in use as of last week when it conked out. Completely.
The food within was ruined, so we emptied it and moved it outside. Back in the room (it was in the dining room) and we noticed two rust stains on the beige carpet where it had been stood. No idea how long they had been there, but weren't there 5 years ago!
I've tried Dr Beckmanns, white vinegar, bicarb and salt (in various mixtures as well) and there is no change, not even slightly. I read that WD40 might work, but never tried it for stain removal on fabric of any kind. Of course, the stains are right in full view of the door!
I imagine the carpet is 80% wool cos it was fitted at a time when we had some spare money and wanted it to last till we either moved or departed this earth. There is little wear on it otherwise cos we don't use the room that much.
Has anyone got any suggestions to make?
