Need to replace my Siemens dishwasher with same or Bosch.

Looking at John Lewis and can see a white freestanding Siemens which is really what I want but my goodness how they have changed since I bought one 11years ago. Do I have to have an app and wi fi connection?We want to press buttons as usual. My dh has taken over the dishwasher since retiring and I know he just wants a simple operation and definitely not another app. The one I am looking at is a Siemens iQ500SN25EW13cE. Has anyone got one of these ?Would welcome any information and comments. Thank you.

Ps also looked at a Bosch but that also seems to want wi fi and an app.

I have a Bosch and it has the ability to have wifi and an app but we just ignored that and use it as normal. The Bosch is easy, press 3 buttons and away it goes.

I have a Kenwood - I thought if Kenwood can make the Kenwood Chef , brilliant food processor , I’m sure their dishwashers can’t be too bad. So I’ve bought a Kenwood dishwasher to replace my 15+ year old dishwasher - hopefully it will see me out …

Thank you so much. That is a relief. Would be tempted by the Bosch which I had before the Siemens only the latter has a tray for cutlery. Thank you again.

I had a clunky old cheapo free with the kitchen dishwasher for years .
I loved the reassuring noises that it made .
It did a fantastic job .
Then it was replaced with a silent Rolls Royce Bosch .
No more noise and the contents often have to be rewashed .
I am so disappointed .

I have had a Miele dishwasher since 1996 and it’s not working that well now. I think it was cost effective.

My Bosch has a cutlery tray. I would never go back to a cutlery basket.

Thank you Kitty. I have found the Bosch with the cutlery tray. Its a series 6 and on offer from JL with a hundred pound off so now £699. Also free recycling and installation. Coming on Friday. So grateful for all your help.
