Cazminas _ I just wanted to check in with you to see how you're doing. It takes time to get back on your feet and I was wondering if you're doing better?

Pardon me for suggesting this, but some builders love an elderly single lady with no support, is that the case? They turn on the charm but all they see is £££.

I just want to say I hear you and feel your pain. Sending hugs.

Same happened to me last week.

Do you need scaffolding?
That's the big expense!
If you have the right tiles and an accessible roof you are only paying for a builder's or roofer's time.

I hope you find someone easily.

And another will have a look

If you have the Next Door app, you can ask for local recommendations. For reference, I lost a slate from my roof in the Spring, cost £60 to have a matching one fitted (original Welsh slate, not a modern tile).

Have you anyone you can ask for personal recommendations?
I belong to a couple of hobby groups that communicate by WhatsApp, when anyone needs a tradesperson we post on the groups. There’s always a good suggestion.

Do you have a local FB. page where you can ask for recommendations? You can then check how long they have been on FB and read comments on their postings to see if they are reliable.
