I used to use saddle soap on boots and shoes.

I have to say, NikWax notwithstanding, the best way to keep your feet dry is to buy footwear with GoreTex linings.

I gave up, I only wear my walking boots in the dry.

I have some quality wellingtons for the wet, they have a walking boot sole and are brilliant.
Expensive but worth it.

Thank you. Much appreciated. I've just ordered some.

Absolutely Nik Wax. My Saturday job was in a camping shop!
Brilliant stuff. Smells nice and makes your hands feel lovely too.

I agree; Nik Wax

Another vote for Nik Wax

Nik Wax spray on fabric and leather waterproofer is my go to for boots and shoes. They also do a spray on cleaning gel which restores water repellency but I rely on the waterproofer. I’ve used it for years.

Hi.
I've got wet feet - again!
I've been using Mountain Warehouse 'Multi Gear Proofer' on my walking boots that I use when I take the dog out.
Its not very good. I gave them a double coating a couple of weeks ago , but wore them for the first time this morning and got soaking wet feet.
Can any one suggest a better one please.
many thanks
