Wearing glasses on a cord round my neck. It has saved multiple searches every day.

Good sized showers with non slip floors and non slip flooring in the bathrooms.

I think you previously started a thread asking for what others did?

Yes, that was me.😃I was asking for other people’s ideas and I’ve now pulled together a lot of useful ones – plus bits from my own and friends’ experience.

Please, do share! You’ll be amazed at how many people ‘didn’t think of that’ or ‘what a brilliant idea’!

In my mid-60s now and my knees have started to complain a bit, so my lot have been gently on at me about “making the house safer”.

We ended up putting together a very simple, low-cost plan for making the place a bit more age-friendly – nothing dramatic, just quick tweaks that have made everyday things (stairs, bathroom, getting up and down) easier. I’ve been surprised how much difference a few small changes have made.

If anyone’s curious about the bits we changed or how we kept it cheap and cheerful, I’m happy to share what we did.
