It might help to look at the Martin Lewis website or app. He’s done a very detailed analysis of energy prices quite recently.

My new Octopus FR starts about now.

No fee to pay if I leave, so free to swap if a better offer comes up.

Think they tell you if you’re no longer on their best rate.

My FR with octopus finishes 7th february and I won`t be dithering when I get the new FR offer, they have been very fair since transferring to them 5 years ago

Mine is with British Gas. I know it's not the cheapest, but I really don't want to go through a changeover.

They have consistently provided me with an acceptable fixed rate.

but note - if energy costs drop, they said they will provide details of a new and lower fixed tariff rate and we can switch to that.

I’m with Octopus too, with my fixed tariff ending. I have chosen to take the new fixed tariff that was offered, as it seems to be good value still.

Just been notified by Octopus my fixed rate tariff ends in January just tried googling moneysaving expert to see if its still good to say on a fixed or not and I'm still a bit confused ( it doesn't take much lol) after reading. Has anyone else had to change recently? Be glad of any incite thanks
