Manthorpe/Gonerby areas of Grantham

I can’t help I’m afraid but I noticed this lurking in the Unanswered forum and thought I would bump it in the hope it gets some acknowledgment.

I can't help either but wondered why your search area was so narrow. There are lots of lovely places near the area you mentioned.

Grantham a good area to live, son lives there and loves it. Situated near the A1, beautiful countryside surrounding it, mainline to London, hourly trains I think. Housing costs reasonable, Gonerby Moor outlet shopping nearby, as well as good public transport, what's not to like.

Grantham town itself seems a bit run-down these days. It doesn’t have the olde worlde attractions of Stamford, lower down the A1. Still, a reasonable place to live for reasons Freya5 gives.
Might you consider Newark-on-trent, a bit further north on the A1, A46, A17 junctions?

Without knowing what sort of property you are needing , why not just look on the usual channels, Rightmove etc.

Hi all. Many thanks for the responses. They really are a big help. I only know the Manthorpe/Gonerby areas. I watch You Tube channels. Perhaps they have been sanitized somewhat. I look at houses on Rightmove as well as registering with agents. I am also looking at the dog walking areas via UTube so anything on the outskirts of housing is a big bonus. I particularly wanted to live in one of the South Kesteven parishes. Does anyone know what development is planned for the former Army barracks of PWofG at Somerby? I have emailed local Authority to see if proposed use is for any migrants. Many thanks.
