We had our ensuite done a few years ago,

The new cupboards had wrapped doors and it wasn't that long before they showed small cracks and one wrapping came completely detached. Of course, they were out of warranty by then.

I couldn't recommend wrapping myself and I'm not sure how sturdy it would be on worktop, although I have seen quite substantial-looking overlays for worktops.

A friend had the worktops wrapped. They were fine for about a year then started to peel and lift.

We had ours completely redone. Our last one was only about 20 years old but our needs had changed.

We had deep drawers everywhere rather than cupboards - and really benefitted from that change- we also had a hot water tap fitted which is really useful.

But, if yiu don't feel the need to alter the basics, then wrapping seems like a good plan. Or, is painting feasible?

Hi all, happy Christmas.
We are going to have our kitchen updated but keeping the cupboard carcasses. Been suggested that the worktops are wrapped, instead of replacing. Thus keeping costs down, plus the cupboard doors the same idea.
I’m not sure what to do. I keep seeing various companies advertising overlays . The local carpenter has suggested wrapping instead. What have you all had done? Any ideas / suggestions welcome.
