Sorry I can't remember where we bought ours. We've had them for ages.

The bases are linked by sturdy metal hooks. The mattresses can be zipped together or left separate.

I'd buy two 3 ft beds, of the kind that one stows under the other.
This was the arrangement we had for our GC sleepovers in a previous house and it worked fine. When they were not in residence, we had floor space in the room for other purposes.

We have two 3' zip linked beds. I prefer to keep the bases linked but separate the mattresses so that I don't get bounced heavenward when DH throws himself on to his side! It also means I can turn the single mattresses more easily than one six footer.

Thank you! I hadn’t realised it was the bases which zip together. Makes perfect sense now. Where did you get yours?

I have these in my guest room, and they work well ( although laundering the super king bedding is a pain) but mine are 2 three foot wide, which sounds as if it might be too large for your space.
Have you considered a bed with a spare that fits underneath?

We do have the kind that have the 2nd bed stowed underneath but don’t bother to stow anymore. The stowed bed does not have any kind of headboard. Originally from M&S, 30 years ago but not heavily used.

We have them. Bought them because I can turn or flip the mattresses easily on my own. No problem with the bedding.
Sorry, but I can't remember the company we bought from.

Currently we have 2 fairly old 3’ single oak beds in our smallest room where the GCs sleepover which is pretty cramped. Youngest GC has wrecked one of the mattresses by constantly jumping up and down on it so we’ve decided to replace. We are considering a zip link bed which could be both single and double - 2’6” or 5’.

Does anyone have any experience of them? Is changing sheet(s) difficult? Nearly ordered from one company today who have got a terrible rating on TrustPilot.
