Wall mounted or freestanding bathroom cabinet for a small bathroom?

I'd go wall-mounted in a small space keeps the floor clear so the room feels bigger and you won't be bumping into corners. We put one above the loo in our cloakroom and it's made such a difference for keeping toiletries out of sight.

We also have a walk-in shower only. Occasionally I miss having a bath. I do not miss having to clean a bath!

The shower screen is easy to keep clean with a rubber scraper.

I'll look at Wayfair.

My bathroom is very small. The only way I could have managed to have both a bath and a shower would be to have the shower over the bath type small. Cue I chose to have a modern-size shower and forget about having a bath. Darn it - but it is what it is...

What I chose was a shelving unit from Wayfair. It's a nicely decorative one - attractive piece of furniture of itself and several shelves high. I then put decorative baskets on the shelves - so as to have one type of thing in one basket, another type in another etc. That is a firm I use noticeably often for house goods of various descriptions - because they tend to have a wide choice of whatever item one is looking for in a variety of price levels, you get straight through to talk to a person and they're efficient.

That can work provided very basic "utility" type stuff (eg medical stuff) can be put elsewhere (in my case on part of the shelving for old airing cupboard off my hallway - now it no longer has a hotwater tank in it since I bought the house).

I’m in a similar position and we’re looking at an under-basin storage cabinet. I’m shying away from tall fittings because I feel as if that “brings the walls in” smile For the same reason I’m leaning towards not having floor to ceiling tiles like we have at the moment.

I agree it’s easy to become overwhelmed by choice! It helps by saving a wish list to Pinterest.

IKEA have tall slim cabinets which don’t take up a lot of space but have plenty of storage. I’m sure other companies will have similar.

We're thinking about adding a proper cabinet to our bathroom. Right now it just has a mirror and a couple of shelves, and honestly it's not enough storage.

I've been checking out Amazon, Wayfair,IKEA and Garvee, but there are so many styles that I'm completely overwhelmed. Wall mounted cabinets look sleek and modern and save floor space. Freestanding cabinets seem to offer a lot more storage, but I worry they might make the room feel cramped. Since the bathroom isn't very big, I'm really torn about which one to choose.

What would you recommend for a small bathroom? Any tips or suggestions would be super helpful. Thanks so much!
