Mattress for single bed

We have a small bedroom which our grandchildren have used when they were small. Now we are changing the built-in bed to a proper single bed, built in too. Looking for a mattress as the youngest child (7) will stay, but also spare room for guests.
Any advice appreciated.

Any number of retailers who sell single mattresses.
I can’t see how we can help if they can’t.

I bought mine from Ikea

Personally, I'd avoid memory foam, I always go for a good pocket sprung mattress, but then if it's only a spare bed...

I guess it depends how comfortable you want any guests to be? As with most things in life, you get what you pay for.

We got ours from Ikea too, very comfortable and reasonably priced

I don’t like memory foam either, it gets so hot, so we chose a sprung mattress.

RosiesMawagain I was only interested in actual experiences from the wonderful Gransnet community.

Try Bensons or Dreams, both sell all manner of beds, bed frames and mattresses to suit all budgets.

Another vote for IKEA.
