I live in Preston UK. My new neighbour is an elderly lady perhaps in her early 90's. Which is great as it goes. But she is so hostile and unfriendly. The atmosphere in the house is horrible and is impacting my job/ career
Her son is a Liverpudlian builder and comes round with his work mates and bangs loudly. I have never spoken to her. Its like the house is sick for 18 months since she arrived. I work as a poet / book publisher and am 60 years ld

It can be difficult when a house changes hand and you go from having a nice neighbour to having one less congenial. My daughter had that experience, and it isn't nice

It can be difficult when you have neighbours who are unfriendly, but can't you just ignore everything happening in and around her house.? She clearly has family who care and look after her, so you need not have any involvement with her at all.

Nothing happening next door needs bother you. just erect a mental barrier between the two houses.

I am sorry it is affecting your business and career, would it help if you spoke to a counsellor to lhelp you adjust to the change circumstances?
