One of my friends mother is due for her annual assessment today. I am a bit surprised to be going as they said this time last year she was only likely to live less than 6 months.
HUNTERF I think you will find that dinner suits do not exist – just dinner jackets and evening trousers. Invitations specify this dress code as "black tie".
I never went to any Masonic events in Wolverhampton so I can not help you. None of our family were Masons. We just got invited and I can remember we hired dinner suits. The events were also expensive.
That was it the belfry! My fil's Masonic dos were at Pennsylvania hall. My fathers were at the other side of Wolverhampton . I think the hawthorns hotel?
The Belfrey is the hotel which also the golf course. The Pens Hall Hotel has the Wylde Green Golf Club nearby and the Pype Hayes Municipal Golf Course about a mile away. You can walk from the hotel into the back fields of the Wylde Green Golf Club.
You probably met myself and my late wife. We went to a few Masonic ladies evening at the Pens Hall Hotel. We had our wedding reception at the Moor Hall Hotel in the Oak Room.
I have just noticed your thread. My late wife and myself purchased our house in London. My daughters inherited my in laws money and put it towards their homes.
I had my 21st birthday dinner there. I remember we had a private room. Haven't thought about that for years. It was also my engagement party. Been to few Masonic ladies evenings there as well. Goodness! Takes me back a few years.
Geez Frank! I'm new and now I feel like your the boy who cried wolf! How can we feel for someone who lost there wife he had known since he was 11 when you say these things? what are we suppose to believe? Nothing.Fine,I'll still enjoy your post.
