no matter how many times you chuck em. in spam or sweep them they have some system of returning. they are infuriating.

Just chuck em in as spam...job done.

FRank nowadays most broadband suppliers have in built spam filters that remove the most of the spam. I get very little spam now for anything. Over 90% of the emails I get that are not personal emails are from companies I have had dealings with, however ephemerally, and from these I just unsubscribe.

People were getting these messages through where I worked a lot of them women.

We got on to the IT department and they managed to block e mails with that word in.

They must be having a blitz on advertising their loans. I have just a moment ago received junk mail with a credit card applcation from Vanquis. Their APRs go up to 79.9%! It's in the bin now.

Vanquis-uk is a legitimate credit card company so this is spam not scam and as such they ought to offer a genuine unsubscribe option. I agree completely about scams though. Just delete these unopened.
Incidentally though Vanquis-uk may be a legitimate company they have been criticised by some for their high interest rates, allegedly!

Yes, I agree about unsubscribing. I have had a blitz on emails recently. The important ones were getting lost in the dross BUT scam/spam type emails are best deleted, not unsubscribed to, for the reasons glammanana says.

I think the emails Frank is receiving fall in the scam/spam category and are best just deleted.

The thing to remember, Frank, is that you are not being targeted because the people sending these emails think you might have credit problems. Your email address is just on some list they have bought or email addresses they have 'harvested' by hacking into other people's computers and stealing their contact lists.

mark the emails as junk and they will automatically go into your junk file

Aka I was told by another GNer that when you unsubscribe it sometime's doesn't work as the Company concerned then know's they have your attention and they continue to bombard you with e-mails,not sure if this is true or not,mind you it is part and partcial of being on line isn't it ? the best thing is just use the delete button.

Unsubscribe Frank. If you go to the bottom of the emails you should see a link to unsubscribe, follow it and they should stop.
