Yes, I agree about unsubscribing. I have had a blitz on emails recently. The important ones were getting lost in the dross BUT scam/spam type emails are best deleted, not unsubscribed to, for the reasons glammanana says.
I think the emails Frank is receiving fall in the scam/spam category and are best just deleted.
The thing to remember, Frank, is that you are not being targeted because the people sending these emails think you might have credit problems. Your email address is just on some list they have bought or email addresses they have 'harvested' by hacking into other people's computers and stealing their contact lists.
Some years ago I was inundated with spam messages offering me the opportunity to increase the size of my penis. A service for which I had no use. This did not stop the messages coming. I just deleted them.
